Last weeks meeting

Notes from last weeks meeting:

Welcomed guest Susan Stennett

  • 12 members attended District Assembly on Sunday 21 May - it was worthwhile with some good workshops
  • Russell Hayes is taking wheelchairs for kids into schools via Earlyact (for primary level children) -Antonio Park Primary School is a possibility for an Earlyact club
  • Work is still continuing with the Salvation Army Mitcham - Neil I has details for this
  • Harvey sent an email to all those attending the olive picking weekend
  • The last Bunnings sausage sizzle netted $558.00 profit.  The next sizzle is on 15 June 2017.  The roster is filled except a further person is needed for the middle shift - Fast Ed is visiting Bunnings that day so there might be increased patronage
  • Thank you note from Joy and Bruce S - thanked members for all their assistance recently
  • Diana Ferrari fund raiser - Sue had good feedback and people want to do it again.  Raised around $600.00
  • Please purchase entertainment books as soon as possible - the old ones run out very soon!
  • A potential NYSF candidate was interviewed prior to the meeting - they presented very well and will be referred to District for a decision.
Pres. Elect Phil ran a forum for the upcoming year

Rattling Rotarians....

On Saturday 27 May, 2017 - Peter K, Janette E, Phil and Sue M and Gabby K assisted Wendy with collecting money for the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal

We were stationed at the intersection of Canterbury and Bayswater Roads, Bayswater for 2 hour shifts.

Overall, the public were very generous.  Below are some photos taken by Wendy of us rattling away!
