David had a few messages from world RI Pres. Ravi, a few areas for focus at District level and then at club level.
This is a question we all should ask ourselves - "what is it that you are most proud of as a Rotarian"

Food security for Indigenous school children in the Kimberley area
The first is in Broome where an emergency food relief charity Feed the Little Children (FTLC) provides a hot evening meal to 300 of the neediest children, mostly under 10 years old. There has been a marked reduction in offenses as well as positive trends inhealth and education. See www.feedthelittlechildren.org.au
The second is at the Purnululu Independent Aboriginal Community School, only 1km off the Great Northern Highway,Bungle Bungles. The school is creating a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden to provide the fresh produce needed. The project will fund a worker from the local community to maintain this garden so it can produce optimally. This person will officially be called an Aboriginal Education Worker. Not only will the school save on food purchase but an extra job is being created within the community. See this link for further information www.purnululuschool.com.au

Wendy Oliver, Len & Jill and myself spent Sunday 12 July at a rather chilly Vic Market. Many stalls were featured illustrating the many great projects Rotary supports both locally and overseas. We all staffed the Interplast stand at different times during the afternoon and saw Peter & Lesley visit and met many 9800 District members. Greg Ross our 50th birthday compare was busy promoting Australia Rotary Health while Mark Balla from Box Hill Central got many speaking engagements for his Indian Toilet Project from the 9800 clubs. Crowds were down because of the cold and wet weather but a good day was had by all. See photos attached

DG David Tolstrup congratulating Bianca Lobo as the 2015/2016 District Rotaract Representative at a lovely combined Rotaract Changeover Ceremony on Sunday.
Monash, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges Rotaract Presidents and Board were welcomed into the new Rotary year. Knox Rotaract Club has a small core of hard working members who hope the club will be chartered this year.
All the clubs are working hard in the community raising money for very worthwhile projects!
Please save the motel soaps or similar size for the 'Days for Girls' program which is a program for sending sanitation products in a wash bag for teenage girls overseas. Give them to Judith. Sandra and the RC Monash think our club is wonderful for saving all the soaps!!
Also save used stamps with a good deal of the envelope! They pay by weight!
Foreign coins are being collected in a container at the desk. Ron Brooks RC Forest Hill has collected many kgs!
Don't forget to support Rotary Foundation, Australian Rotary Health, Paraplegic Benefit Fund - see your dues invoice
Roving Rotarians - don't forget to send some photos and an short article about your travels!
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine, they laid down for the night, and went to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see." Watson replied, "I see millions and millions of stars." "What does that tell you?" Watson pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies, and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?" Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke. "It tells me that someone has stolen our tent."
"At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.’ Hungry not only for bread — but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing — but naked for human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks — but homeless because of rejection.” ~ Mother Teresa
