Progress Report on
Cook Islands Medical Imaging Machine (MIM) Project
In 2018, as part of the Medical Imaging Machine (MIM) project we installed X-ray cassette readers and a mobile X-ray machine in the Cook Island.
Since then our team member in New Zealand, Jason Walker, has worked tirelessly to enhance the radiology facilities in the Cook Islands by providing
another portable X-ray machine,
X-ray cassette readers,
a portable ultrasound
and lead gowns.
In March 2022, he had the opportunity to revisit the sites in Raratonga and Aitutaki while on a business trip. During his stay he serviced the equipment supplied in 2018 and installed the new donated equipment.
