OUR MEETING LAST WEEK   Superannuation Russell Warmington spoke about Superannuation. Russell is a Director and Co- owner of Moneta Super. REPORTS Blackburn Lake Sanctuary Planting Day from Peter Koens Saturday July 16th   Meet at the Visitor Centre at 9:30 am Bring gloves. Wear appropriate footwear/clothes tools provided. Join us for a cuppa & morning tea afterwards .   Caring for our volunteers, as well as the Sanctuary! EYES  FOR AFRICA from Len Brear  Thanks to those members of the Waverley Garden Club who provided 26 non prescribed sunglasses for the Eyes for Africa eye surgical program in Ethiopia, scheduled for February 2023. Hopefully 600 surgeries will occur and thus a need for 600 pairs. Every donation of a pair saves the program the cost of buying.One kind person donated two packs of 8 new sunglasses! I propose to close the sunglasses drive in November. Additional contributions from friends and relatives would be much appreciated.   So far we are up to 157 sent plus 26 in hand and a few more.   Read more... They have around 3,000 trees to plant.   The planting is scheduled for Sunday 31 July 2022 between 10-1pm and will be followed by a BBQ.   Friends and families are encouraged to participate.
