It is with sorrow that I inform you that Past President Sue Warmington's mother died peacefully on Saturday. Marjorie Head was a person who packed a lot into her life and touched many lives with her outgoing personality, and participation in many organisations. Her beautiful smile endeared her to carers and other patients at Opal Gracedale.
The Celebration of Life for Marjorie Head will be held at Heritage and Heritage, 733 Boronia Rd, Wantirna, on Monday 24th August at 1.00pm
Russell Warmington
We extend our sincerest condolences to Past President Sue, Russell and family.

Trivia night has been booked for 14 November 2015 at the Aurora School in Blackburn South. Please start collecting items for the Silent Auction and raffles.
Speakers for the evening were Russell Hayes and Peter Klaaysen on behalf of Wheelchairs for Kids.
Wheelchairs for Kids was started in Western Australia by the Rotary Club of Scarsborough in 1998. Since then, over 32,000 wheelchairs have been sent overseas. Each chair costs $150.00 in materials and the labour is all voluntary. There are 180 volunteers for the Perth workshop alone.
Support comes comes not only from Rotary but there are now partnerships with McDonalds, Country Womens Association, schools and other entities. Visy provides packaging for the wheelchairs. World Vision is a new partner paying half the freight charges. In the Eastern states, Toll Transport move the wheelchairs to their loading points to go overseas free of charge.
The wheelchairs last for around 10 years and can be continually adjusted as a child grows.
These chairs make such a difference in young peoples lives and those of their families.
Did you know that in the last Rotary year 2014/2015 it is estimated around $123 million has been donated to the Annual fund by Rotarians, their families, friends and other interested parties.
Please save the motel soaps or similar size for the 'Days for Girls' program which is a program for sending sanitation products in a wash bag for teenage girls overseas. Give them to Judith. Sandra and the RC Monash think our club is wonderful for saving all the soaps!!
Save used stamps with a good deal of the envelope! They pay by weight!
Foreign coins are being collected in a container at the desk. Ron Brooks RC Forest Hill has collected many kgs!
Roving Rotarians - don't forget to send some photos and a short article about your travels!
