Dear Fellow Resident,

Join us in spreading the Christmas spirit and support locals in need by donating a gift to the Deakin Christmas Giving Tree.

This year’s Deakin Christmas Giving Tree will provide much-needed support to local families through the Eastern Emergency Relief Network (EERN) in Mitcham.

I would like to encourage you to give generously to the EERN.

During Christmas, EERN organise 250 hampers for local residents so that the most vulnerable in our community can still experience the joy of receiving something special this holiday season.

Residents, community groups and businesses can get behind this worthy cause and donate practical gifts through my office for EERN to use in their Christmas hampers.

EERN Mitcham provides food, toys, household goods, clothing, and other basic necessities.

Donations can be left at my office at 5/602 Whitehorse Road in Mitcham until 5pm on Friday, 23 December 2016.

All of the donated items will be presented directly to the EERN before Christmas Day.

If you have any questions about the Deakin Christmas Giving Tree, please do not hesitate to contact the office on (03) 9874 1711.

Best regards
