A good day was had by all on Saturday at the President's Barbeque held at Yarran Dheran.
27 people arrived for an afternoon of conviviality. The weather was kind to us and it was just delightful to see so many people chatting, enjoying good food and good company.
When the Finska came out we did see a different side to some of our friendly Rotarians and their lovely partners! We did field a team of Sue's which was quite funny. Fantastic to see Susan De Bolfo  and Ann Drayton come along to share the fun.
Thanks to all those that came a long to help make the day so much fun.
Sue Warmington.

Ai Seike the club’s  Exchange Student from Japan in early 1990s, is pictured with her husband Kyoma and daughter Mai. The picture of the Tanaka family was sent to Roger and Roslyn Wilson with Ai’s Christmas card.

So far we have raised $2,637.00 for Relay for Life 2014.  I have to send the receipt books etc. back to the Cancer Council ASAP so if there are any further donations, please give them to me on Wednesday night. Gabby

  • Please save the motel soaps or similar size for the 'Days for Girls' program which is a program for sending sanitation products in a wash bag for teenage girls overseas. Give them to Judith. Thanks to the members who have already given me some. RC Monash was delighted!
  • Also save used stamps with a good deal of the envelope! They pay by weight!
  • Foreign coins are being collected in a container at the desk
  • RC Nunawading members are rostered on to attend the Whitehorse Rotaract Club on 2nd and 4th Wednesday - 7:15 for 7:30 pm - at Melbourne Baseball Club Surrey Drive, Box Hill. Opposite Aqualink Box Hill.
  •  Save Sunday 12th April 2015 for our Golden Anniversary! Yes, Rotary Club of Nunawading is turning 50! Lunch at the Karralyka Centre in Ringwood. More details later...

   The Importance of Water

Interview  with 101 year-old Hattie Mae MacDonald of Feague, Kentucky:
Reporter: Can you give us some health tips for reaching age of 101?

Hattie: For better digestion I drink beer.
In the case of appetite loss I drink white wine.
For low blood pressure I drink red  wine.
In the case of high blood pressure I drink scotch.
And when I have a cold I drink Schnapps.

Reporter:  When do you drink water?

Hattie
:   I've never been that sick.

To our members that are not well at present we hope you are up and about and back with us very soon!

Maybe this will assist Bob in his decision about which diamond saw blade he will need for his next hip operation!

Best of luck Bob!
