RC of Waverley - 50th Birthday
IWD Breakfast 9 March 2016

The tickets are $55 until Friday this week (12 February 2016 - early bird pricing) then $65 after that.
Profits from the event this year are going to CARA.
There is flexibility with table allocations so if we book 8 we can have a table of 8 but only pay the per person price so for 8 the early bird price would be $440.
The event is run by the Rotary Clubs in and around Box Hill who support a dynamic and diverse culture where women and men work together to build on the existing strengths of Rotary. Our 2015 breakfast was a great success and we look forward to welcoming even more people to our 2016 event.

Our Charity Partner - Cara
We are excited and proud to be supporting Cara this year.  Cara provides specialised accommodation, care and support to vulnerable pregnant or parenting girls and young women between the ages of 12 and 18 in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Cara’s approach is to deliver immediate assistance, backed up with ongoing support and coaching to provide the greatest opportunity for the mother and child to break the cycle of trauma, abuse and neglect.

Do you want to help support this event?
Thank you to the sponsors of this event - if you would like to support this event or next year's event, please call Janine Scott on 0422 225 996

For any queries please call Janine Scott: 0422 225 996 or email:  iwdboxhill@gmail.com

Joke of the Week

A man goes into the doctor. He says, "Doc, you gotta check my leg. Something's wrong. Just put your ear up to my thigh, you'll hear it!"The doctor cautiously placed his ear to the man's thigh, only to hear, "Gimme 20 bucks. I really need 20 bucks.""I've never seen or heard anything like this before. How long has this been going on?" The doctor asked."That's nothing Doc. Put your ear to my knee."The doctor put his ear to the man's knee and heard it say, "Man, I really need 10 dollars. Just lend me 10 bucks!!""Sir, I really don't know what to tell you. I've never seen anything like this." The doctor was dumbfounded."Wait Doc, that's not all. There's more, just put your ear up to my ankle," the man urged him.The doctor did as the man said and was blown away to hear his ankle plead, "Please, I just need 5 dollars. Lend me 5 bucks, please, if you will.""I have no idea what to tell you. There's nothing about it in my books," he said, as he frantically searched all his medical reference books."I can make a well educated guess though," he continued. "Based on life and all my previous experience, I can tell you that your leg seems to be broke in three places."

Quote of the Week
We're all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness — and call it love — true love.

Robert Fulghum, True Love
