Tonights meeting was held at Len and Jill's home where a great feast was on offer. The event was a fund raiser for the medical imaging /cath lab project. An amount of $732.00 was raised including $148 from a raffle. It also doubled as a Footy night so everyone came in their footy colours.
Many thanks to Len, Jill and others who provided food and to Len and Jill for having everyone at their home. It was a wonderful night. Thanks Sue W for photos

Hello Peter!
It's so nice to hear from you. Hope everything is going well.
Actually I'm not in uni yet, I still have one and a half years of school left. So school is going well, I was able to adapt back to my class and already went on a class trip to Italy two weeks ago. It's was so beautiful and we did lot's of sport activities, because I'm doing my graduation concentrating on sport. (sport profile) anyway we took a bus to Italy and went through Austria. I have to say you were right, Austria is amazing, I hope to go there sometime soon. (I'll add some picture of the trip)
So I now have about 2 weeks left with a few exams until I have autumn holidays again. I'm really looking forward for some rest.
So what else happened in the past few months? Sometimes I miss Australia terribly, but I know I'll be back one day.
How's Karen and the kids?
I have been very busy lately traveling, with a school trip to London and a Rotary trip to Amsterdam.
My trip to London a few weeks ago was with my schools advanced english course to study Shakespeare. During the week we spent in the heart of the city we went to several museums (including, the V&A, Science, Tate, National history and Sherlock museums), we also got to see Buckingham palace, Big ben, Trafalgar Square, tower of London, Westminster Abby, St Paul’s Cathedral, tower bridge, and more. After site seeing we also had a boat tower down the Thames ending in Greenwich. For our Shakespeare study we attended two plays in the Globe theatre as well as a behind the scene tour and two lectures about Shakespeare and his works.
I was also lucky enough to spend a weekend with the my host clubs, Dutch sister club in Amsterdam with three exchange student friends. We saw three museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh and modern museums), home-less football (soccer), and Anne Franks house. We also went on both a bike and boat tour of the city, it is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and completely different to any German City i’ve seen.
In-between these trips I spent my free time visiting other schools in the area to talk about Australia as it is an exam topic in the english courses, it was fun to talk about home and listen to all the stereotypes they had about Australia, many of which on reflection are very true.
My next update will be after my Germany tour, which will take me to city like Berlin, Amsterdam, München, Rothenburg and about six others over the next two weeks!

Please save the motel soaps or similar size for the 'Days for Girls' program which is a program for sending sanitation products in a wash bag for teenage girls overseas. Give them to Judith. Sandra and the RC Monash think our club is wonderful for saving all the soaps!!

It was the last day of philosophy class, and time for the final exam. The professor had exposed the students to several schools of philosophy during the semester.
He looked out over them as they sat and waited expectantly. Finally, he pointed at his desk and said, “I have only a single question on this final test. Use anything I’ve taught you this year to prove to me this desk does not exist.”
Immediately the students started writing furiously, filling ages and pages of exam books with proof for the non-existence of the desk.
One girl, however, wrote for a few seconds, gathered her books, walked to the front of the class, turned in her exam book, and was out of the classroom in two minutes.
When the professor posted the grades the following Monday, only one person had received an A. It was the girl who finished the exam so quickly.
