Presidential Ponderings

It has been an honour to serve as the President of the Rotary Club of Nunawading this year.

Thank you so much to the Directors and Committee Chairs for their collective wisdom and hard work.

Thank you to all the members who have enthusiastically and passionately continued to embrace the service projects that we are committed to, and for having such an enjoyable time in the process!

Thank you to District 9810 Governor Russell Gurney for his inspirational leadership this year. It has been a joy to be a part of his team, and to work with Assistant Governor Joan Young and the Whitehorse Cluster Presidents.

Our club has so much to be proud of - over the past 55 years we have made, and continue to make, a significant contribution to the community of which we are a part. That community can be defined locally as Whitehorse, and more broadly as Australia and overseas, and this year we have supported people in need in all of those communities.

The heart and soul of our club are the members, and what draws us to meetings and events and fundraisers each week, month and year is the fellowship and friendship we all have been so fortunate to find in belonging to the Rotary Club of Nunawading.

President Elect Gabby Knaepple will be an awesome President for 2019/2020, and I am looking forward to handing over the President's  Collar to her at Changeover, and to highlighting all of this year's achievements in the club Annual Report.

This is my last chance to say "Be The Inspiration" to everyone, and to thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as President of our wonderful club.
.

Yours in Rotary,

President Janette
