Bob's 80th Birthday

It was great to see around 35 members and partners help Bob celebrate his 80th birthday last Wednesday. After a nice dinner, Bobs birthday cake came out and after a fine rendition of Happy Birthday, Bob gave us a brief synopsis of his life.

He was born on 4 November 1935 in Ballarat and went to Ballarat College
In 1950 his family moved to Croydon
From 1952 to 1954 he and his Father opened a furniture shop in Blackburn which later became Hoskins Carpet Gallery and is still operated today by Bob and Bev's son.
He and Bev were married on 26/09/1959 and have been happily married for 56 years.
In 1965 he was approached to join the Rotary Club of Nunawading.
