On Tuesday 20th February about 60 Rotarians teachers and young people gathered at the Mulgrave Country Club to listen to the participants of our Youth programs describe the main highlights of the programme from their perspective and what they learned, how they think they benefitted from the program and what benefit do they think their school community might have experienced as a result of their participation

We heard about the serious debating in the Parliament Chamber between the teams of students dressed as their allotted country from the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) committee chair, Andrew. Victoria gave an interesting account of her year away on Youth Exchange. Tara raved about her time at the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) and how the experience shaped her future studies and the challenges of returning the next year as a staff member.

Tamara talked about the life-changing week she had at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA( program at the YMCA Camp out of Bacchus Marsh and the lifelong friends she made.

We were lucky to have four Interact Clubs from four secondary schools speak about the way that Rotary has impacted on their school life by opening up the wide world of service to others both locally and internationally (pictured above).

Finally the Monash Rotaract Club President Netania spoke about the role that Rotaract has for young people in having fun whilst raising money for local and International projects.

The Youth programs are a wonderful way of developing young people and introducing them to the world of volunteering both locally and internationally.
