Sridevi presented products and information regarding leaf leather, a plant based material to make tote and messenger bags, wallets, pen holders and glasses cases.
Leaves are gathered from the forest floor, soaked, dyed & steamed. The heat compresses and bonds the leaves onto non-woven fabric. The sheet of leaves is ready to cut into different shapes and stitched together.
The final fabric is light weight, softening over time and ages beautifully.
