On 21 November, Greg King Spoke on: Vocational Service – the Essence of Rotary
Greg highlighted the Declaration for Rotarians in Business and Professions and values that are embodied in it.
Key issues being undertaken over the next two years:
In 2020 District 9810 will being taking ownership of the Victorian Shine on Awards. These awards started in 1992 and are an outstanding annual Australia-wide Rotary award recognising exceptional service to others by people with disabilities
Support for Rotarians doing business with Rotarians (R2R) to assist people wind Rotarians find businesses to provide services. The Vocational Services Committee plans to develop an App for smart phones to assist this.
Vocational service is the original avenue of service and Greg believes it is the essence of Rotary.
