Our guest speaker was Geoff White from Centrelink. Geoff is a Financial Information Service Officer. He gave a session of approximately 30 minutes on retirement and entitlement to the Age Pension.Geoff recommended that people take advantage of this free service especially for those clients having trouble navigating Centrelink's internet site. Geoff explained that there are a number of factors to consider when applying for an Age Pension. These include your income streams and assets (including superannuation) as well as your entitlement to any overseas benefits.
