Eyes For Africa - restoring sight through cataract surgery
Julie has been an opthalmic nurse for over 40 years working at RVEEH for 35 years and now in PANCH Day Surgery in Preston.
She founded Eyes for Africa in 2007 after seeing the need while holidaying in Ethiopia .
Over the past twelve years she has facilitated over 3500 sight restoring cataract surgery to people living in rural and remote villages in Ethiopia.
Without her help these people would remain blind.
EFA sponsored a local opthalmic to train as a cataract surgeon , He now works for Orbis International in Jinka in the OMO Valley and now works for EFA , during our campaigns.
