Feed One Feed All (FOFA) is a nonprofit organisation and registered charity committed to supporting vulnerable members of our community who are facing food insecurity.
Lillie started FOFA after 2021 storm in the Yarra Ranges to assist in providing meals after the disaster. Their mission and belief is for nobody should go hungry by supporting those in our community facing food insecurity by providing nutritious home cooked meals; making a difference, one meal at a time. The 2026 target is 80,000 meals. Volunteer drivers collect meals for distribution.
The team of 150 passionate volunteers work tirelessly on 2 shifts, 3 days per week to provide meals to various community groups including elderly people who are unwell, those transitioning home from hospital, people experiencing homelessness, individuals struggling with mental health issues, those escaping family violence, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders in difficult circumstances.
Feed One Feed All also address the issue of food wastage and promote sustainability by upcycling donated food to create home-cooked, nourishing meals for those in need.
FOFA partnership with organisations such as Foodbank and Outer-East Foodshare, source produce that would otherwise be thrown away due to cosmetic imperfections or excess stock that farmers can't sell. These ingredients with additional protein and ingredients to create delicious and nutritious meals.
FODA are open for new volunteers on the FOFA website https://www.fofa.org.au/volunteer-form , from meal preparation to administrative tasks such as finance, logistics, marketing or public relations. Tax deductable donations can be made on the FOFA website https://www.fofa.org.au/donate which will go towards purchasing essential ingredients for nutritionally balance meals and utility payments to run the kitchen.
