Important additional notes:

  • The large baton will be on display at this site.
  • Both the Mayor Andrew Munroe, and Greg King the husband of DG Alma Reynolds will speak briefly at the commencement of the relay
  • Consequently, there could be a slight delay in departure from this venue. and therefore all other times listed in the program will likely follow suit.

The carriage, an old Melbourne taxi will carry Bob & Bev Hoskins, Dick & Pam Tregear, Colin & Jenny Taylor.
These are the longest serving members of our club and its an honour to have them take part in this celebration.

At Antonio Park we have received permission to plant a tree to celebrate the 100 years. The first 19 presidents of our club planted trees there with Colin Taylor being the 19th.

We would like as many members, partners & families to attend each section (need to drive).
This is an important recognition of 100 years of Rotary in Australia. We definitely need as many as possible at Blackburn Lake.

For about 2 hours after the relay, there will be free rides in the carriage around the streets beside the lake. We will also be running a sausage sizzle.

Again I want to emphasize that we need as many as possible to join us
