Dear Len and Gabby,
Stella and I would like to wholeheartedly thank you and your club for your generous donation of prescription glasses earlier this month from your spectacles program. We’d also like to thank your supporters, Fareshare, Ventura Bus Lines and Forest Hill Optometrists and of course fellow Rotarians than have helped collect and organise these glasses.
A project of the Rotary Club of Albert Park, we run a healthcare service in Uganda, Africa. Our focus is on providing healthcare services and consumables to those in need, typically in western Uganda.
The glasses that you have donated are being taken to Uganda in September this year, and will be graded and distributed to community members at our ongoing outreach programs in Wakiso and Nansana districts.
Our in-country team, supported by local Rotary clubs, will send through an update once completed which we’ll share with you and your members.
We would also be delighted to speak at your club about our project and how the glasses have made
a difference to Ugandans.
